League Information

  • Wilshire Girls’ Softball Association (WGSA) was founded in 2002 by a group of parents in the mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles.  It is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization run by an all volunteer board and staff.

  • WGSA is a member of the USA Softball Association, which runs the U.S. National Team and is the governing body of softball in the United States.

  • WGSA’s goal is to help the girls build strong fundamental softball skills, and is equally committed to teaching, practicing, and instilling the ideals of character, teamwork, good sportsmanship and fair play.

  • WGSA has become the premier girls fast-pitch softball league in the City of Los Angeles.  It fields All Star teams that compete in post season area, USA District, and State Championship tournaments.

  • Girls between the ages of 7 and 14 are eligible to play in the league’s four age divisions: 8U; 10U; 12U; and 14U.

  • WGSA has no territorial limitations for playing, so we accept girls who live in Beverly Hills as well as all areas of Los Angeles.

  • Games are played on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the Los Angeles and Southbay areas. Practices are 1 to 1.5 hours long, one day a week.

  • All WGSA managers are USA Certified. Coaches are required to attend mandatory coaching clinics and are background checked.

  • WGSA offers player clinics run by coaches and players.
